Hello! I'm Chris Billinghurst, long-time interiors obsessive of the intelligent interiors kind. I've been been working in the world of professional creative reuse and upcycled interiors for well over a decade. My own business background includes running a variety of organisations from Eco Chic Interiors (a ground-breaking concept, providing information, ideas and inspiration on upcycling, vintage and craft 2010-2013), to Twitter's #UpcycledHour (the most successful online social media hour for the upcycling community of its kind 2014-2019). #UpcycledHour became the UK's leading authority on designer upcycling, rebranding in 2019 to become he House of Upcycling (2019-2024), the story arriving at its completion in 2024 with the first curated online designer upcycling showroom: NOWHOUSE.shop/store.
Whilst professional upcycling will always remain a major part of my interiors world, focus will now be on expanding the intelligent interiors concept and creating a platform that provides access to the information, experts and inspiration that other interiors enthusiasts are looking for, bringing people together online and in-person.
