NOWHOUSE.uk intelligent interiors
NOWHOUSE.uk has developed from a concept that originally came to life over fifteen years ago. Interiors obsessive, artist, designer, wellbeing and eco enthusiast, Chris Billinghurst first channelled the concept with GDUK Style (2009-2011) followed by Eco Chic Interiors (2011-2014), latterly concentrating on professional upcycling for interiors with #UpcycledHour (2014-2019) and the UK's authority on professional upcycling for interiors, the House of Upcycling (2019-2024).
And now the time is right to take things forward ... never before have we appreciated the many benefits a home can supply, how it supports our individuality, aesthetic preferences, sacred and social demands together with our wellbeing. So with friends and associates Chris has met along the way - podcast co-host Zara Bonser of My Sanctuary No.8 in particular - NOWHOUSE.uk is here to change the way we look at our homes. WE'RE DIFFERENT BECAUSE YOU'RE DIFFERENT.
Intelligent Interiors embrace:
-
interiors fit for purpose and for the individual
-
products which support wellbeing and the environment
-
professional reuse whether of materials or products
-
items of heritage and craft
-
biophilic and vegan interior design
-
elimination of excess moisture, smoke, particulate matter, allergens, mould, pests, VOCs, carbon monoxide, and formaldehyde from all spaces where humans live and work
-
conscious consumerism and a reduction in buying new
-
the concept that homes should primarily be about the people who live in them, whatever their preferred style, colour palette or specific requirements, appreciating trends without slavishly following them.
